Warranty policy and claims procedure

This page will provide you with all necessary information regarding our warranty policy and the claims procedure in case of a faulty product.

Below you will find a claims form to start the claims procedure, as well as an FAQ.

All Moonlight products have a warranty period of 2 years that covers the original owner who holds a valid proof of purchase.

We understand that sometimes faults can appear, if a product fails due to manufacturing faults or material defects, we will repair the item free of charge or replace at our discretion. 

If the item has been inappropriately used or wrongly stored, then the item does not fall under our warranty. Normal wear and tear is also not covered by Warranty.

Moonlight requires all faulty products to be shipped back to us. If your item is a valid claim and within warranty period then we will send you a shipping returns label. 

If you have no proof of purchase and/or the item is not a valid claim and out of warranty then you are required to pay the shipping return fee.

If you are experiencing a problem with one of your Moonlight products and the item was purchased directly from us then please fill out the form below and we will reply to you within 2 working days.

If you purchased your Moonlight product via a third party, please contact the store directly and we will work with their staff to respond to your request.

SKIS  - If a manufacturing fault is found within 2yrs from purchase date, the skis can be replaced or repaired at Moonlight's discretion. The warranty does not cover damage to the skis caused by strong impacts due to improper use or falls, damage or snapped skis caused by uncontrolled impact and/or crashes.

This warranty also does not cover damage caused by water infiltration due to abrasions on the sidewall or unsealed ski-binding holes, fading of the graphics, damage resulting from improper mounting or mounting of a binding with incorrect screws or bindings ripping out of the skis due to incorrect mounting. Re-drilled skis will also not be covered.

Warranty FAQ

  • How long is the warranty period for MOONLIGHT products?
    The Moonlight Warranty is valid for 2 years from the first purchase date of the product.

    A valid proof of purchase must be included with any claim.

  • What do I do if I have a problem with my Headlamp or Skis and the item is within the warranty period?
    If you purchased the item from a third party then please contact them direct and they will handle your claim request.

    If you purchased the item direct through MOONLIGHT then please complete the form above and we will respond within 2 working days.

    If the claim is valid then we will either repair or replace the item for you free of charge, after we receive the faulty product back at our Åndalsnes office.

  • Can I still claim if I do not have a proof of purchase for my product?
    Our product Warranty is only valid along with the presentation of a valid proof of purchase.

    If you do not have a proof of purchase you can still contact our customer services team and they will do their best to resolve*your problem as quickly as possible.

    This can include repairing or replacing the product at an extra cost to you.

  • Does MOONLIGHT require the customer to return faulty items?
    Yes, all claims that are within or without the warranty period must be returned to MOONLIGHT.

    If you have a valid claim along with proof of purchase then we will send you a free shipping returns label.

    If you do not have proof of purchase and/or the item is out of warranty then you are required to pay the return fee of the item to Moonlight.

    Any replacements/reparation will be returned to you free of charge (with Proof of Purchase/within warranty period), or at the customers expense (without proof of purchase/out of warranty period)

  • How long will my claim take to be resolved?
    We make great efforts to reply to each claim request within 2 working days. If the claim is valid and once we receive back the faulty item we aim to ship out a repaired or replaced item within 5 working days. Shipping times can vary depending on destination.
